Due to the cancellation of events there will be no Conservation Bursary awarded for the 2020. Funds for the Conservation Bursary are derived from fundraising opportunities throughout the first 5 months of the fiscal year.
The NS Women That Hunt is building a conservation community that strives to be more culturally diverse and inclusive, creating opportunities that expose, educate and inspire.
The Conservation Bursary is designed to acknowledge youth who have adopted and applied a sense of conservation in their lives. If you have participated in hunting, fishing, 4H, an organization that promotes outdoor activity, or you chose to actively enjoy an outdoor lifestyle you may be eligible for a $1,000 bursary.
Must be an active member of the NS Women That Hunt Association.
Youth who apply must be a member under an adult membership
Must be a secondary student who is graduating and accepted into a post secondary program.
Must provide proof of acceptance
1000 word (minimum) essay on how you have adopted an outdoor lifestyle, how you plan to integrate it into your future, and why it is important to you to do so.
Letter of reference (Someone who can speak to your commitment or passion to the outdoors. Coach, instructor, teacher, community leader, etc.)
Include any certifications, licenses, recognition awards or achievements related to this topic.
